An unexpected calorie torcher. Rowing machines use multiple muscle groups in the entire body to mimic the action of rowing a boat. As a result, roughly 80 percent of the muscles in your body are called into action leading to some major calorie burning. Best of all, It's low-impact and friendly to joints.
According to Harvard Health Publications, rowing at a moderate pace for 30 minutes burns about 310 calories.
